I can not remember seeing Petula Clark in Asterix in Britain.
Does anyone know where this is in the book.

Petula Clarke is an English Rose based in France but Lulu is Scottish (not English) - the questionmaster needs help with his geography.

Good question. Did not see Petula Clark (nor Lulu) featuring in any description of the book I have read. It is not in the page with puns and allusions that Marco 'Comedix' made on his excellent German site, and yet he knows the answer!?

It is not in the page with puns and allusions that Marco 'Comedix' made on his excellent German site,

well, there's neither a hint about any allusion on Cilla Black nor on Petula Clark nor on Lulu. So, if there really should be any appearance of one of these persons in the book, the Comedix-website does not help us.

Also Asterix NZ (last update: 30.12.2007 ) doesn't mention one of these persons on its Britain-subsite: http://www.asterix.co.nz/take_a_look/britain/index.html

But indeed there is a person called "Petula" in the german edition. It is the wife of the thief's stoic neighbour. She's called Boadicea in the english edition (due to Katri's Asterix Dictionary). But perhaps this might be the reason for Comedix' answer?

My mistake, when I rewrote the questions from the newspaper I ommitted to say in which FILM did the female English singers appear.
